Galaxy Forces V2 is a classic 2D side-scrolling game inspired by Gravity Forces on Amiga. It allows up to 8 players, involves shooting enemy space ships and either transporting cargo, point races against opponents, or shoot-everything scoring. There are 50 official levels and a map editor, and it runs on Linux, Windows and Mac.
NetDB can inventarize and historize MAC address allocation on network switches and ARP tables on routers. It stores those using MySQL. It supports extensive switch, VLAN and vendor code reports, or tracks static IP addresses, and record neighbor discover. It provides a CLI interface and a web interface, or generate CSV lists.
YB.ORM is a object-relational mapper for C++. It was inspired by Hibernate and SQLAlchemy and should be database-independent. It provides C++ code generation for domain objects, which can be synchronized with new table definitions as kept in XML meta files, but also provides JSON serialization. YB.ORM was tested with MySQL, Oracle, SQLite, Firebird, Postgres, MSSQL and can utilize ODBC, SOCI and other drivers.
wxMEdit is a cross-platform text and hex editor, derived from MadEdit. It adds automatic updates, bookmarks, selecting lines with a tripple click, a FreeBASIC syntax file, more supported encodings (L1, CP850, CP437 etc, KOI8, UTF-x), better Max OS X and Windows support, nicer dialogs based on Code::Blocks wxSmith, more localizations, is a bit more stable and comes with an improved build system.
Limba is an experimental cross-distribution package installation scheme. It utilizes file system virtualization (overlayfs) to allow 3rd-party application bundles to run unmodified alongside distro packages. It's a possible successor to Listaller/AutoPackage, integrates with PackageKit and XDG desktop management facilities.
vDos is a DOSBox fork which omits some graphics and gaming emulation in favor of supporting old DOS text-mode and business applications. It adds a live filesystem bridge, file and record locking, Windows printing, scalable screen fonts, and other features. It's rather convenient to set up, runs on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows systems.
FreeBASIC is a multi-platform BASIC compiler with syntax similar to MS-QuickBASIC (including graphics statements). It adds features like pointers, unsigned data types, inline assembly, C and C++ bindings (e.g. Allegro, SDL, OpenGL, GTK+, Windows API), and a pre-processor with macro support. FBedit is an additional IDE to the compiler.
Pngcrush is size optimizer for PNG images. It's a command-line tool, works on Unix and DOS environments. It reduces the IDAT picture data stream by testing different PNG filter methods and compression levels. It may also remove meta data chunks, or inject gAMA, tRNS, iCCP or text chunks.
RKWard is an IDE/GUI for the R programming language, which adds powerful statistics tools. It provides a spreadsheet-like data editor, syntax highlighting, code folding and completion, CSV/SPSS import, plotting previews, a history browser, R package management, workspaces, dialogs and wizards for plots and statistics.

SuperTuxKart is a 3D racing game. It comes with several different tracks and sceneries, allows to play one of the BSD and Linux mascots as protagonists ("Tux and friends"), has built-in AI players, and split screen modes.
The HipHop Virtual Machine (HHVM) is an alternative PHP runtime implementation. It executes scripts JIT-compiled for higher performance, but retains most dynamic features, weak typing, and scripting language capabilities. While its companion language "Hack" constraints some features for additional execution speed. HHVM is developed and used by Facebook, where it achieved significant performance gains and reduced memory consumptiom. Its syntax and standard library feature set is meanwhile compat
Uriparser is a RFC-conformant URI/IRI parsing library. It's cross-platform, written in C and thus speedy, and provides full Unicode support, reference resolution and creation, recomposition, and syntax-based normalization.
FreeFileSync allows comparing and synchronizing local file folders. It's performant and without GUI complexity. It detects moved and renamed files, detect conflicts, can operate on locked files, understands symlinks, allows automatic syncing, copyies extended file permissions (NTFS), and it's cross-platform.
Perl is a family of high-level, general-purpose, and dynamically interpreted programming languages. It borrows some syntax from C, Unix Shells, and AWK or SED, and more or less reinvented modern regular expressions. Perl 5 is the current mainstream version, with over 20 years of development.
